The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported a 5.2 magnitude earthquake near Bangladesh on Friday morning (05 May) (local time).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 35 kilometers (21.75 miles). Local residents in Dhaka have also reported property damage.
