A 6.1-magnitude earthquake that struck the central Philippines early on Thursday, February 16 around 2 am (local time), shook the region. A warning of potential damage and aftershocks was also issued by the seismological agency. The epicenter was 11 kilometers (seven miles) from the nearest village of Miaga, in Uson municipality, on the province’s main island of Masbate.
