Three major Catalan pro-independence organizations, the Council of the Republic, the Catalan National Assembly (ANC), and Òmnium Cultural have called a joint protest on Thursday 19 January against the Spanish-French summit in Barcelona.
According to the pro-independence organization, the Spanish government has stated that it intends to visit Barcelona as well to formally declare the independence process to be complete.
Given that there has been no political resolution to the war, that there are still movement representatives in exile, and that several people are currently awaiting trial for various offenses, the three pro-independence organizations view this as a provocation, a delusion, and a lie.
