Unidentified persons set fire to two abandoned houses belonging to a certain group in Manipur’s Imphal West district early Wednesday (02 August).
Firefighters went to the scene in the Langol neighborhood and extinguished the blaze, adding that no casualties were recorded in the incident.
The event occurred during the period between guard changes in the region.
Army forces had guarded the properties since the residents had abandoned them, and CRPF personnel were to take over the security of the houses.
