Several schools in Delhi received bomb-threat emails on Friday (20 December), marking the sixth such incident in 11 days. Authorities, including the police, fire services, bomb detection teams, and dog squads, swiftly responded to the threats. Security personnel conducted extensive searches but found nothing suspicious at any of the schools.
The Delhi Fire Services reported receiving the first alert at 5:02 am (local time) from DPS, Dwarka, Sector 23. Following the call, multiple schools in Dwarka and other districts reported receiving similar threatening emails. Search operations were immediately launched at all affected institutions.
As a safety measure, some schools advised students not to attend in-person classes, while others transitioned to online learning. Officials assured that all necessary security protocols were followed to ensure the safety of students and staff.
The recurring nature of these bomb threats has raised concerns among school authorities and parents. Police have launched an investigation to trace the origin of the emails and determine whether the threats are linked or part of a larger malicious scheme.
