As per reports on 06 May, under Operation Kaveri, the Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out a daring mission to rescue 192 people from war-torn Sudan, including women, children, and the elderly.
The mission was carried out by an Indian Air Force C-17 Globemaster aircraft, which took off from the Hindan base in Ghaziabad and landed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to refuel before continuing to India through Sudan.
