A blast at a residential building in northwest Moscow killed one person and injured four others. The explosion occurred on Monday (3 February), and emergency services quickly responded to the scene. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the blast.

Baza, a Telegram channel with connections to Russia’s security services, shared video footage of the damage. The footage showed major destruction at the Alye Parusa residential complex, where the explosion took place. Emergency responders were seen working in the affected area.

The cause of the explosion remains unknown, and officials have not released further details. There was no immediate claim of responsibility, and no official speculation on whether it was an accident or an attack. Investigations are ongoing to determine what led to the incident.

In December, Ukraine claimed responsibility for the killing of Russian General Igor Kirillov in a bomb explosion outside a Moscow apartment building. However, there has been no comment from Ukraine regarding this latest blast. The incident has raised concerns about security in the Russian capital.
