During a curfew relaxation period Sunday (07 May) morning (local time), people were seen coming out in large numbers to buy food, medicines, and other vital necessities as life crept back to normal in riot-affected Manipur.
As soon as the curfew was lifted at 10 a.m. (local time), Army and Assam Rifles troops marched across Churachandpur.
In total, 120-125 Army columns have been deployed throughout the riot-ravaged state.
In total, 10,000 soldiers, paramilitary personnel, and central police have been deployed in Manipur.
