On January 7, 2023, at around 2 pm to 5 pm (local time), residents of Haringey will gather in Wood Green opposite the VUE Cinema, 180 High Street, London, N22 6EJ, to demonstrate against the city’s low-traffic neighborhood (LTN) plans.
LTNs were implemented to decrease rat-running and improve air quality the plans rely on filters that are physically present in the street and monitored by cameras to prevent non-residential traffic from swerving through side streets.
However, the LTN schemes’ opponents assert that they worsen traffic, travel times, and pollution, particularly along the scheme’s outside perimeter roads.
