According to the reports on Tuesday (4 February), a freight train collision occurred near Pambhipur in Fatehpur’s Khaga area, leading to the derailment of the guard coaches and engine. The incident happened when a second freight train collided with a stationary train on the DFCCIL track, which had stopped due to a lack of signal. Fortunately, a major accident was avoided despite the impact.

The collision caused disruptions on the up line, affecting railway traffic in the area. Railway officials have been informed and are currently investigating the cause of the incident. Authorities are working to determine why the signal failure occurred, leading to the unexpected halt of the first train.

The accident took place on a busy railway corridor, prompting a swift response from local authorities. Pambhipur police in the Khaga Kotwali area are assisting in handling the situation and ensuring safety measures are in place. Efforts are being made to clear the tracks and restore normal rail operations as soon as possible.

Railway officials are focused on identifying any lapses in communication or signaling that may have contributed to the crash. The priority remains preventing further disruptions and ensuring the safe movement of trains in the region. Investigations are ongoing, and further updates are expected once a full assessment is completed.
