Superintendent of Police (SP) Varun Singla, who was on leave when the communal violence broke out in Haryana’s Nuh, has been transferred to Bhiwani, according to an official order.
Meanwhile, a top Haryana government official said on Thursday (03 August) that anyone found culpable for the communal riots will face harsh punishment, and that the state’s situation is quickly returning to normal.
So far, 55 FIRs have been made in Nuh, including 10 for propagating misinformation on social media, and 141 people have been arrested.
Meanwhile, the curfew in Nuh will be relaxed today (Friday) (04 August) from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. (local time).
