According to the reports on Wednesday (13 November), the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched multiple strikes on Hezbollah positions in Lebanon following recent projectile attacks on Israel. On Tuesday (12 November), Hezbollah fired rockets toward Israel’s Nahariya region, resulting in two fatalities, while additional sirens were triggered in Tel Aviv and Gush Dan; no injuries were reported in these areas. This escalation prompted Israel to respond with targeted military actions.
The IDF’s strikes focused on dismantling Hezbollah’s infrastructure, including weapons storage facilities, launch sites, and command centers across southern Lebanon and in Beirut’s Dahieh area, a significant Hezbollah stronghold. The Israel Air Force (IAF) conducted intelligence-led strikes on these sites, targeting Hezbollah assets deeply embedded within civilian areas.
Before carrying out these operations, the IDF took precautions to protect Lebanese civilians by issuing warnings in advance, a move aimed at minimizing collateral damage. These warnings underscore Israel’s efforts to balance offensive objectives with considerations for civilian safety in densely populated areas.
The IDF’s ongoing operations are part of a broader strategy to weaken Hezbollah’s military capabilities and reduce threats posed by its presence in Lebanon. Israel has stated that it will continue these actions to dismantle Hezbollah’s operational infrastructure, aiming to prevent further escalation and protect Israeli territories from cross-border attacks.
