On Tuesday (01 August), the situation in Haryana’s Nuh and parts of Gurugram remained tense after violence erupted during a religious procession on Monday evening (31 July).
Meanwhile, two home guards were killed and over 50 people, including police officers, were injured in Nuh on Monday evening (31 July) after a mob of miscreants threw stones and set cars on fire during a religious parade.
A religious procession called the ‘Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra,’ which was flagged off from Gurugram’s Civil Lines by Bharatiya Janata Party district president Gargi Kakkar, was stopped by a group of men at Khedla Mod in Nuh, according to police.
In Nuh and Gurugram, Section 144 has been implemented, and internet services have been temporarily banned until Wednesday (02 August).
In addition, mobile internet services in Faridabad have been banned until Wednesday. Locals, on the other hand, insist that the condition is normal.
