The Chinese Meteorological Department issued an orange warning for cold waves on Friday, January 13, predicting significant temperature reductions, gale-force winds, and significant snowfall throughout a large portion of the nation.
Temperatures may drop in several areas of Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning. The provinces of Shanxi, Shaanxi, Hebei, Henan, Shandong, and Anhui, as well as the Tibetan Autonomous Region and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, are expected to experience significant snowfall from Friday, January 13 afternoon (local time) through Saturday, January 14 afternoon (local time).
People are urged to keep themself warm during the temperature drop and to be cautious of driving risks during inclement weather.
