In a clash between law enforcement and militants in Matta, Swat, on Tuesday (24 September), two terrorists were killed, and two policemen sustained injuries. The encounter occurred when militants ambushed a police patrol, but quick and effective police action repelled the attack, according to the Swat District Police Officer (DPO).
The injured policemen were immediately taken to the hospital, where their condition was reported to be stable and out of danger. Despite sustaining injuries, the officers were able to help neutralize the terrorist threat, ensuring the safety of the area.
The bodies of the slain terrorists were transported to a morgue for post-mortem examinations and identification. This step is expected to aid the authorities in gathering crucial information about the militants and their networks.
In response to the skirmish, security in the region has been tightened, and a manhunt has been launched to capture any remaining militants who may have fled the scene. The police are working to ensure the area remains secure and prevent further attacks.
