The Met Office issued a storm warning for 13 regions of Kazakhstan on January 10, 2023. For the Abai region and Semey city, a second-degree severe weather warning has been issued.
The Atyrau region will experience nighttime temperatures of -30 degrees Celsius on January 11. The majority of the Karaganda region should prepare for nighttime lows of -38 degrees Celsius.
The Zhetysu region and its mountainous sections, as well as the Almaty region, are expected to see overnight temperatures of -35 degrees Celsius on January 12 and 13.
It is urged that residents in these 13 regions exercise caution and keep an eye out.
