Armed skirmishes between the Sudanese army and paramilitary forces erupted again in different locations of Khartoum on Thursday morning (04 May) (local time).

Clashes between the presidential palace and the Sudanese Army General Command in central Khartoum were reported.

The Sudanese army said in a statement that its forces clashed with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), who attempted to attack the army’s command in Khartoum’s neighboring city of Bahri.

According to the statement, the army inflicted huge losses and casualties on the RSF, forcing them to retreat.
