Security personnel in Sidhra, close to Jammu, thwarted a significant terror attack on December 28. Around 7:30 am (local time), the security forces and the terrorists engaged in a firefight during which 4 terrorists were killed and a big cache of weapons was discovered.
Security personnel seized seven AK-47 firearms, one M4 rifle, three handguns, and more ammunition.
Terrorists reportedly started shooting while hiding inside the truck when the Jammu and Kashmir police Quick Reaction Team halted and began searching it. As the gunfight broke out, more reinforcements were hurried to the scene. At the checkpoint, the driver exited the car and ran away. An investigation has been started to find the driver.
