Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) will be required starting in November 2023, according to the United Kingdom’s (UK) government, although EU citizens won’t need to get one until the following year.
According to information provided by the UK government, citizens of the EU won’t need to obtain an ETA until after February 2024, according to SchengenVisaInfo.com. An ETA is a new requirement that will soon begin to apply to all individuals who are not required to obtain a visa to enter the UK.
The UK government has previously stated that starting on November 15, 2023, citizens of Qatar will need to obtain an ETA to enter the country.
Also, the same stated that beginning on February 22, 2024, citizens of Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates will also need to obtain an ETA. It also emphasized that additional nations would be included in the program later.
