A mob set fire to the residence of Union Minister R K Ranjan in Imphal, Manipur on Thursday (15 June).
At the time of the incident, the Union Minister was not at home. The miscreants arrived with petrol bombs, causing damage to the ground and first floors.
Manipur has been witnessing violent clashes between two groups Meiteis and Kukis over the demand for inclusion in the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category since May 3, leaving more than 100 people dead.
