Weather Warning issued for heavy rainfall in New Zealand

According to the Meteorological department orange warning has been issued for Tasman, west of Motueka due to a subtropical low bearing down on New Zealand from the Tasman Sea.

It has also prompted a heavy rain warning for Golden Bay. In Golden Bay, a warning of heavy rain is issued from Wednesday 04 January midnight (local time) until Friday 6 January 6am (local time).

A heavy rain watch is still in effect for the Richmond and Bryant ranges, including the Rai Valley and the Marlborough Sounds, from Thursday, January 5, at 6 a.m.( local time) through Friday, January 6, at 3 a.m. (local time), with possible rainfall that meets warning standards.
