After experiencing more than 5,000 lightning strikes in only 30 minutes on Wednesday (29 March), Bhadrak experienced an electrifying evening. “In just 30 minutes, almost 5,000 lightning strikes were reported close to Basudevpur in Bhadrak.

According to the Special Relief Commissioner’s office, no fatalities associated with lightning activity have been reported close to Basudevpur to date. Varun Guntupalli, the Bhadrak SP, stated that there have been no reports of fatalities brought on by the harsh weather pattern.
