The weather service reported a 6.3 magnitude earthquake in Japan’s central Ishikawa region on Friday (05 May), but no tsunami warning was issued.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the earthquake struck around 2:42 p.m. (local time) (0542 GMT) at a depth of 10 km.
According to Japan Railway, Shinkansen bullet trains have been suspended between Nagano and Kanazawa, a famous tourist destination.
