Clashes in Central Nigeria have killed at least 30 people

A local official reported Tuesday (16 May) that more than 30 people were murdered in conflicts between herders and farmers in central Nigeria’s Plateau State.

For years, ethnic and religious conflict has raged in the region, which lies between Nigeria’s predominantly Muslim north and predominantly Christian south.
