Climate activists intend to organize a protest in central Berlin on February 5 to protest the destruction of the village of Lutzeruth in North Rhine-Westphalia to clear the way for an expanded coal mine.
Participants will congregate in Invalidenpark between 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (local time) and march to Mehringdamm/Yorckstrasse.
On the way, there will be a protest in front of the Social Democrat Party (SPD) and the Finance Ministry.
The demonstration may lead to localized transport disruptions.
