The Meteorological department issued a warning for Cyclone for Coromandel and Gisborne region. According to the Met department, regions will see gale-force gusts and heavy rain through Thursday morning, January 12. (local time).
Heavy downpours are predicted for the Coromandel Peninsula for 24 hours from 10 pm (local time) on Monday 9 January while for Gisborne 28 hours from 10 pm (local time) on Monday, 9 January, and for Hawke’s Bay for 17 hours from 3 pm (local time) on Tuesday, 10 January.
