According to the Met Office, freezing fog, which led to numerous flight cancellations at Heathrow Airport on Monday morning (23 January 2023), would persist in some locations on Tuesday morning (24 January 2023) with temperatures hovering just above minus 10C.
The cold wave, which was forecast to linger until the end of the week, was predicted to cause some areas of southern England to hit minus 9C in the early hours of 24 January 2023.
Hence, people are advised to plan their trips accordingly.
