According to the Ghanaian government, the country chose to further relax COVID-19 limitations due to diminishing worldwide and domestic trends for the infection.

The West African country has seen a continuous drop in COVID-19 infections over the last five months, and based on the global and national scenario, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) decided to lift the remaining restrictions on Saturday (20 May).

All travelers are no longer required to undergo pre-departure testing or testing at all points of entry.

The COVID-19 foreign travel health declaration form has been suspended.

These measures will go into effect on 20 May.
