In a tragic drive-by shooting on Sunday (10 August) afternoon (local time), an Israeli civilian was killed and another wounded near the Mehola Junction on Route 90, a major highway in the West Bank. Hamas quickly took responsibility for the attack, which saw two cars targeted with an assault rifle.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) responded by deploying a significant number of troops to the scene, blocking roads, and launching a search operation for the perpetrators. 5.56 mm shell casings were discovered at the site of the ambush.
