Officials claimed at least two persons were killed and four others were injured in a shootout between two armed groups in Manipur’s Bishnupur-Churachandpur border districts on Friday (07 July).
The incident occurred early in the morning near the Phougakchao Ikhai village.
The injured were brought to the Churachandpur Hospital.
Paramilitary and Manipur armed police troops rushed to the scene and promptly commenced a search operation to apprehend the armed cadres.
