Police Boost Security at Bloomfield Schools

Bloomfield schools will experience a heightened police presence on Tuesday after a violent threat surfaced on TikTok. The FBI discovered the threat and alerted the Bloomfield Police Department.

The origin of the threat is believed to be within Bloomfield, although authorities are still investigating. As a precaution, the Bloomfield School District is taking measures to ensure student safety.

Dr. Bethany Silver, Interim Superintendent, confirmed the increased police presence to reassure the community. She emphasized that this action is purely precautionary while the investigation continues.

The Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) has been notified about the situation. The individual responsible for the threat remains unidentified, and specific details of the threat have not been disclosed.
