On Monday (21 August), Russia announced it had foiled two Ukrainian drone strikes in the Moscow region, with no injuries recorded.

Kyiv’s effort to launch an “attack with an aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicle was foiled” around 6:50 a.m. (local time) (0350 GMT).

The drone was “suppressed by means of electronic warfare” and crashed in Pokrovskoye village, Odintsovo district, southwest of Moscow.

Another “attack by the Kyiv regime” was foiled in Istra, northwest of Moscow. It occurred at 8:16 a.m. (local time).
