Ukraine launched a drone strike on the Crimean peninsula on Saturday (22 July), according to the region’s Russian-installed governor, Sergei Aksyonov.
He stated that the attack targeted infrastructure in the Krasnohvardiiske region, near the peninsula’s core, without providing further details.
Emergency personnel are on the scene to mitigate any potential consequences.
Earlier that day, on 18 July, Russia repelled a Ukrainian drone strike on Crimea in the early hours of Tuesday (18 July), according to the Russian defense ministry, a day after an attack on the Crimean bridge that damaged it and interrupted traffic.
