In a separate operation in Imphal East district, security forces arrested a militant belonging to the United National Liberation Front (P). Police stated that the individual was actively involved in extortion activities. The arrest highlights the continued efforts of law enforcement to curb financial networks supporting militant groups in the region. Officials have been conducting targeted operations to dismantle these outfits.
Another militant from the Kangleipak Communist Party (City Meitei) was arrested in the Ngaikhong Khullen area of Bishnupur district.
