On January 2, while interacting with a wanted criminal in Pennsylvania, one police officer was shot and killed and another was injured. Police said the guy carjacked a vehicle and was injured, but he managed to escape.

The suspect gave police a second chase when they found the stolen car. Police claimed that after crashing, he ran off into the woods. He later emerged from the woods into a residential area’s open space and started firing at the police.

When the policemen opened fire, the suspect was killed. The guy was initially sought after for allegedly violating his probation with regard to weapons.
