Russian missile and drone strikes on the city of Zaporizhzhia late on 29 October and early on 30 October left at least thirteen people injured. The attacks targeted both student accommodation and critical infrastructure across the city and surrounding oblast, causing widespread damage and panic among residents.
According to Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, the number of injured rose to thirteen by early morning on October 30. Emergency services and medical teams have been working around the clock to provide aid and transport victims to nearby hospitals.
Reports indicate that those injured are suffering from a range of conditions, including fractures, concussions, bruises, and acute stress reactions. Many residents have also sought psychological support in the aftermath of the strikes, as the attacks left parts of the city without essential services and created fear of further assaults.
The overnight bombardment marks yet another escalation in Russia’s ongoing campaign against Ukrainian cities. Authorities in Zaporizhzhia have condemned the attacks and urged citizens to remain cautious and follow safety alerts, while recovery crews continue to assess the full extent of the damage to local infrastructure.
