According to data released on Thursday (19 January 2023), by the Union Health Ministry, the number of COVID-19 cases in India increased by 134 in a single day while the number of active cases decreased to 1,962.
Though there is a decline in the number of active cases, people are still urged to follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
