According to Union Health Ministry data released today (May 11), India has registered 1,690 new (COVID-19) coronavirus infections in a single day, while active cases have decreased to 19,613 from 21,406 the previous day.
The death toll has risen to 5,31,736 with 12 fatalities, including those reconciled by Kerala, according to figures updated at 8 a.m. (local time).
Though the COVID-19 situation has improved greatly, people are still advised to follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
