According to the reports on Wednesday (11 December), Israel launched an extensive military campaign in Syria following the collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s regime. Over two days, the Israeli military carried out nearly 480 airstrikes targeting strategic military assets, including airfields, anti-aircraft batteries, and weapon stockpiles. Ground forces were also deployed beyond the demilitarized buffer zone, marking a significant military expansion in the region.
The Israeli Navy played a crucial role by destroying Syria’s naval fleet and targeting two naval facilities housing 15 vessels and sea-to-sea missile stockpiles. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that 70-80% of Syria’s former military capabilities were neutralized, significantly weakening the country’s defense infrastructure.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the fall of Assad’s regime as a transformative moment in Middle Eastern geopolitics. He attributed Syria’s collapse to Israel’s military pressure on its regional adversaries, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran. Netanyahu stressed that while Israel does not intend to interfere in Syria’s internal affairs, it will act decisively to ensure its national security.
Netanyahu also issued a warning to Syria’s future leadership, emphasizing that any cooperation with Iran or hostile actions against Israel would be met with force. He pledged to prevent the transfer of Iranian weapons to Hezbollah and maintain Israel’s military superiority in the region. The operation reflects Israel’s broader strategy to reshape the balance of power in the Middle East.

Thank you for your comment! I’m using WordPress for my blog, and while it’s a great platform, security requires proper management. To enhance safety, ensure you keep WordPress, plugins, and themes updated, use strong passwords, enable SSL for encryption, and consider security plugins like Wordfence or Sucuri. Regular backups with tools like UpdraftPlus can also protect your data. If you’re exploring other platforms, Ghost or Joomla might be worth considering for their security features.
