Security personnel in Tunis are preparing a demonstration outside the interior ministry to call for better working conditions and higher wages. On December 29, (Thursday) the demonstration will begin at 10:00 a.m. local time. The demonstration could draw dozens of spectators. It is possible that police and protesters would engage in physical altercations, especially if demonstrators are highly disruptive or disobey orders to disperse. The Ministry of Interior will probably experience heightened security and minor transportation problems.
