According to the reports on Wednesday (5 March), Militants targeted a police post in Baramulla’s Old Town on Tuesday night (4 March, local time) by hurling a grenade. The blast, which occurred around 9:20 pm (local time), created panic among the local residents, though no casualties or damage were reported.

Following the explosion, security forces quickly responded by sealing off the area. A search operation was launched to locate any potential threats or evidence linked to the attack.

During the search, authorities recovered a grenade pin, which could provide crucial clues for the investigation. Officials are working to determine the source of the attack and any possible militant involvement.

The police have assured the public that an investigation is ongoing to identify those responsible. Meanwhile, security forces remain on high alert to prevent further incidents in the region.
