Mobile internet and SMS services in Nuh and other parts of the state, which had been halted until 05 August, have been restored for three hours beginning at 1 p.m. (local time) on Thursday (03 August), according to officials.
Internet restrictions had been enforced to prevent any disruption to the peace and public order in the aftermath of the communal riots. Aside from Nuh, the services were cut in Faridabad, Palwal, and the Gurugram district sub-divisions Sohna, Pataudi, and Manesar.
According to an official statement, the Haryana government issued the decision to lift the internet block to allow applicants taking the Haryana CET ‘Group C exam’ later this week to get their admission cards.
