The Indian Army successfully foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district last night. The operation, called Op Kanchi, was launched in the Laam sector of Nowshera based on intelligence inputs from local agencies and the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
During the operation, two heavily armed terrorists were killed. The Army recovered a large cache of weapons from the terrorists, including two AK-47 rifles and a pistol. This action effectively stopped the infiltration attempt before any further escalation.
The Army’s White Knight Corps, responsible for the region, reported the details of the operation. They stated that the area had been illuminated and closely monitored throughout the night, ensuring no further movement or threats.
The search operation continues at first light as the Army ensures the area is clear of any additional threats. Officials remain vigilant, monitoring the region as a precaution against further infiltration attempts.
