According to the reports on Wednesday (11 December), Pakistani security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Sambaza, Zhob district, targeting terrorist hideouts. The operation resulted in the elimination of 15 terrorists after intense combat. Troops effectively engaged the militants’ positions, successfully neutralizing the threat in the area.
During the operation, a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered from the terrorists. This discovery underscores the scale of the potential threat the militants pose and highlights the mission’s success in disrupting their activities.
Tragically, Sepoy Arifur Rehman from Mansehra sacrificed his life during the intense exchange of fire. The military acknowledged his bravery and ultimate sacrifice, emphasizing the high cost paid by security personnel in safeguarding the nation.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reaffirmed the military’s commitment to combating terrorism in Pakistan. A follow-up sanitization operation is underway to ensure the area is cleared of any remaining militants, reflecting the armed forces’ determination to maintain national security and stability.
