Clashes occurred on Friday (12 May) on the Srinagar Highway in Islamabad between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and police as Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Imran Khan was being led to the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Thousands of Pakistanis gathered today (12 May) at Srinagar Highway G-13 Islamabad to show their support for PTI chief Imran Khan.
After skirmishes between PTI workers and cops on the Srinagar Highway, security authorities arrested 30 individuals. As he was being brought to the high court, there were reports of stone-pelting and intense shelling on the route.
The Srinagar Highway has been stopped to traffic due to severe shelling and stone pelting, according to Islamabad police.
