According to data released by the health ministry on Monday (26 June), India experienced a one-day increase of 47 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with an active caseload of 1,655.
The overall number of patients is now close to 4.50 crore, with a death toll of 531,903.
Covid-19 cases have decreased in the last three months, following an increase in infections caused by the XBB.1.16 Omicron strain.
Though the COVID-19 situation has improved greatly, people are still advised to follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
