According to Union Health Ministry data released on Saturday (29 April), India recorded a single-day increase of 7,171 new (COVID-19) coronavirus cases, while active cases were reduced to 51,314.
The death toll rose to 5,31,508 with 40 dead, including 15 confirmed by Kerala, according to data updated at 8 a.m. (local time).
Though the COVID-19 situation has improved greatly, people are still advised to follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
