India has recorded approximately 1,223 new COVID-19 cases in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases to 16,498, according to the union health ministry on Saturday (13 May).
Though the COVID-19 situation has improved greatly, people are still advised to follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
