As per reports on 08 August, Russian missiles attacked the center of Ukraine’s Pokrovsk twice on Monday night (07 August), killing eight people, five of them were civilians.
According to the governor, the second missile struck the Ukrainian-controlled village near the frontline 40 minutes after the first.
Witnesses of the strikes say that the strike killed and injured first responders. Two rescuers and one military member were killed.
According to Ukrainian officials, nine police officers and one military member were injured, but the majority of the 31 injured were civilians.
