Because of a new coronavirus strain, health officials have issued a “stay at home” warning if people begin to feel ill.
The BA.2.86 variation, known as Pirola, has recently been identified in the United Kingdom.
As a precaution following the identification of the new variety, health professionals have accelerated the delivery of the most recent COVID-19 booster immunization.
Medics are now advising anyone who feels ill and is unsure if they have COVID-19 to avoid contact with vulnerable persons and, if possible, stay at home.
Though the COVID-19 situation has improved greatly, people are still advised to follow COVID-19 safety protocols.
